Quality standards include a checklist that you may use to evaluate your course and ensure it aligns with standards related to accessibility, learner support, learner interaction, and instructional materials. Academic Technologies and the Center for Teaching Excellence have developed an Online Course Quality Checklist that combines features from Quality Matters (QM) and SUNY OSQR. The Online Course Quality Checklist provides a quick assessment of key features that should be included in your course.
For a more in-depth set of standards and annotations that explain how to apply the standards we suggest using the Quality Matters (QM) Rubric and create an account. Cornell University is a Quality Matters member which enables you to freely access the QM Rubric.
For post course evaluation please see the “Faculty Guide to Online Course Development” located in Blackboard.
As a final check please make sure your course aligns with NYS guidelines for time on task in online learning.
