Academic Technologies now has the HP Sprout on demo at our office located in room 124 of the CCC building. All faculty and staff who are interested in exploring HP’s new take on the personal computer are welcome to swing by and take it for a test drive.
The Sprout seamlessly integrates physical objects with the computational space, allowing for dynamic presentations, documents and other digital renders to occur (including 3D scanning) in an easy to navigate interface. In addition to the basic Sprout software, our version is loaded with a beta version of Sprout Presenter software, a tool under development specifically for educational use in the classroom.
The Sprout integrates multiple tools into one desktop machine: A keyboard and mouse, projector, scanner, ‘canvas’ with touch (and touch screen monitor) high definition camera, and 3D scanner.
