Instructors share how they use polling in the classroom.

Last week, several Cornell instructors came together online to discuss the ways in which they are using polling (via i<clickers) in the classroom. The video chat was led by Pat Graham and Andrea Putnam, of Academic Technologies, and attendees spoke in part on how polling in the classroom can lead to greater student engagement with course material as well as assessment strategies for large classes. Challenges faced by faculty were discussed, as well as empirical findings related to polling and student outcomes.
